Install WordPress Using Composer

Step 1: Create composer.json

Create a project folder, inside project folder create a file composer.json, with contect

  "require": {
    "johnpbloch/wordpress": "*"
Step 2: Run composer
composer install
Step 3: configure wordpress

change file name wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php

Step 4: edit wp-config.php

configure the following settings

/** The name of the database for WordPress */
define( 'DB_NAME', 'test' );

/** MySQL database username */
define( 'DB_USER', 'root' );

/** MySQL database password */
define( 'DB_PASSWORD', '' );
Step 5: navigate to http://localhost/project-folder

Create website name, admin-username, admin-password, admin-email and click okay
