Step 1: Create bootable pendrive or cd
If using Rufus-
Step 1.1 – Select pendrive
Step 1.2 – Select OS iso image
Step 1.3 – Click on start
Step 1.4 – On completing close the window, and remove the pendrive or cd. This live pendrive or CD will be used to plug on the computer which have corrupt boot.
Step 2: Boot computer with this live pen drive or CD
Plug the pendrive, boot with it, and click “Try Ubuntu”
Step 3: Enable PPA
Open terminal with command Ctrl + Alt + t
And enter the following command. This will enable PPA required for installation of boot repair.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair sudo apt update
Step 4: Install boot repair
Now, install boot repair, using command –
sudo apt install boot-repair
Step 5: Run boot repair
Open root repair, using command –
Boot repair Windows will appear.
Click on “Recommended repair”
Then click on “Apply”
Report Window will appear “Boot successfully repaired”. Close the Window.
Restart the system. On restart all the OS installed will be listed, select your OS and Enter. That OS will boot.
